How to Stay Safe with ICE Presence Confirmed in West Michigan
First, make sure you've created a safety plan with your family. See the attached Know Your Rights + Emergency Planning guides (in English and Spanish). We advise creating a Power of Attorney if you have minor children or if you own a home or vehicle or have a bank account. We have a staff attorney who can help you prepare a Power of Attorney. Call (616)298-8984 to schedule an appointment.

--Avoid spaces where large numbers of immigrants are known to congregate.
--Ask your church for a virtual attendance option.
--Ask your school and church what their ICE safety plan is.
--Ask a trusted person to drive you to places if you do not have a valid driver's license.
