Volunteer Opportunities

  • Time Commitment: 2-4 hours per week

    Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented volunteer to help maintain a clean and welcoming environment in our office and kitchen. This role involves light cleaning duties such as wiping down surfaces, tidying shared spaces, organizing supplies, and ensuring the kitchen area remains neat and sanitary. Volunteers are needed for 2-4 hours per week, with a flexible schedule that can be tailored to fit your availability. Your support will help us create a comfortable space for our staff, clients, and community members.     Tasks:

    • Wipe down and sanitize office desks, counters, and shared surfaces.

    • Clean and organize the kitchen area, including countertops, sinks, and small appliances.

    • Sweep and mop kitchen and office floors as needed.

    • Empty trash and recycling bins and replace liners.

    • Restock cleaning supplies and kitchen essentials (coffee, napkins, etc.).

    • Organize office supply cabinets and communal storage spaces.

    • Clean glass surfaces such as windows and interior doors.

    • Dust shelves, equipment, and fixtures.

  • Time Commitment: 2-5 hours per week

    Description: We are seeking an organized and dependable volunteer to provide administrative support for our Mobile Immigration Clinic program. Responsibilities include assisting with scheduling appointments, data entry, preparing client forms, organizing materials for clinic days, and other administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the program. This role is essential in helping us deliver vital legal services to immigrants in our community. The schedule is flexible, with a time commitment based on the volunteer’s availability and program needs. If you have strong organizational skills and a passion for supporting immigrant rights, we would love to have you on our team!

    Tasks: 

    • Assist with preparing and organizing client forms and intake packets.

    • Maintain the client appointment and service database.

    • Coordinate logistics for mobile clinic events, including location setup materials.

    • Organize and manage case files and follow-up notes.

    • Assist with post-clinic data entry and reporting.

    • Create and maintain clinic day checklists for efficiency.

    • Assist with processing mobile clinic requests.

  • Time Commitment: Varies, roughly 5-10 hours per month

    Description: Join our team as an Administrative Support Volunteer for the Community Navigators Program and play a crucial role in empowering community members. You'll assist with data entry to track outreach efforts, prepare training materials for new navigators, coordinate volunteer orientation sessions, and help maintain accurate case management notes. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys behind-the-scenes work that has a big impact. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will help our navigators connect individuals with critical resources. Flexible scheduling is available based on your availability and program needs.


    Tasks:


    • Assist in preparing training materials and packets for new navigator sessions.

    • Assist in scheduling and coordinating volunteer orientation sessions.

    • Take and organize case management notes for navigator follow-ups.

    • Maintain updated resource lists and informational materials.

    • Help prepare presentations or handouts for training sessions.

    • Organize and digitize case management files for easier access.

    • Assist with post-training evaluations and feedback forms.

    • Provide clerical support during key program events or initiatives.

  • Time Commitment: Varies, roughly 5-10 hours per week.

    Description: We are looking for a bilingual (English and Spanish) volunteer to support our team by managing incoming voicemails and returning calls to community members. In this role, you will listen to messages, accurately document the needs and inquiries, and respond with helpful information or direct calls to the appropriate staff member. This position requires strong communication skills, empathy, and professionalism, as you will often be a first point of contact for individuals seeking support. The schedule is flexible, and training will be provided to ensure you feel confident and prepared. If you are organized, compassionate, and ready to make a difference, we’d love to have you join us!

    Tasks:

    • Listen to and transcribe voicemails accurately in both English and Spanish.

    • Return calls to community members with professionalism and empathy.

    • Provide basic information about our programs and services over the phone.

    • Direct calls and messages to the appropriate staff members as needed.

    • Maintain a call log with detailed notes on call outcomes and follow-up actions.

    • Assist with scheduling appointments or connecting callers to resources.

    • Identify urgent calls and prioritize responses accordingly.

    • Support the team by identifying common questions or needs in the community.

    • Collaborate with staff to improve communication processes and phone support.
