USCIS Gender Policy Update

At LIA, we firmly stand in support of all individuals, regardless of their gender identity, and we are deeply concerned about the recent USCIS policy update recognizing only two biological sexes. This change disregards the dignity and lived experiences of trans and nonbinary individuals, creating unnecessary barriers for those seeking immigration services.

We value the humanity and authenticity of every individual and will continue to handle each case with care, compassion, and respect. Our team is dedicated to all clients feeling seen, supported, and empowered throughout the immigration process.

We understand the emotional and practical challenges this policy imposes on trans and nonbinary individuals. Our team will work tirelessly to provide guidance, advocacy, and resources to help affected individuals navigate these new hurdles while affirming their dignity and rights.

This policy does not reflect our values or vision for an inclusive immigration system. LIA will continue to advocate for policies that uphold equality, fairness, and respect for all people, regardless of their identity. Together, we will strive toward a more just and compassionate system for everyone.
