July 2020 Racial Equity Read

As part of LIA’s professional development agenda for July 2020, we will be participating in a book-club style activity that is intended to encourage staff to engage actively with anti-racist literature. As individuals and as a team, we are responsible for continuing to actively self-educate and work on unlearning internal biases in order to better care for our clients, our communities, and ourselves.

We invite you to join us this month by choosing a book from the list below and reading along with us. At the end of the month we will come together as a group to reflect on what we have learned. LIA is purchasing books from Reader's World Bookstore in Holland, and we encourage you to do the same!
