Lighthouse Immigrant Advocates Serving Refugees
thouse Immigrant Advocates’ team met with the first refugees to arrive from Afghanistan today. They will be the first of many cases we open, seeking a variety of immigration remedies with the end goal of safety, security, and permanent residency.

During my time as an Lighthouse Immigrant Advocates (LIA) intern, I learned what is possible when a group of people come together to place the well-being of their community above all else. Whether taking on the weight of someone’s story during a phone intake or performing a seemingly tedious task such as filing documents, each action in this office is done with the knowledge that this work is bringing a sense of security and stability to the lives of our neighbors.
DACA Update
As you have likely seen in the news, a ruling by a federal court in Texas has changed the ways that DACA can and will be processed. Lighthouse Immigrant Advocates wants to clarify what this may mean for you.
